Nocean Recruitment sat in a category that's lost the plot. Construction recruitment is flooded with high-volume operators chasing speed and corporate firms hiding behind process. Neither delivers what founder-led businesses actually need: someone who understands the pressure, reads the culture, and takes responsibility for the outcome. The challenge was to build Nocean from the ground up as a different kind of recruitment partner. Not faster, not louder, but sharper. A brand built on judgement in an industry addicted to volume. We positioned Nocean around a simple truth: Right People. No Shortcuts. The brand was built for construction, building and architecture founders who treat every hire as a decision that protects standards, momentum and reputation, not just a seat to fill. Visually, we moved away from the generic, stock-heavy look that dominates recruitment and built a confident, considered identity and website designed to earn trust before a conversation even starts.

Savvi was entering a crowded, sceptical property market as a brand new player. But they weren’t a typical real estate agency. While others focused on buildings and numbers, Savvi focused on people, especially first home buyers navigating a high-stakes, emotional decision. The challenge was to launch Savvi in a way that cut through category noise and positioned them not as another property business, but as a brand buyers could actually trust and relate to. We shifted the brand from property-led to people-first. Through a playful tone of voice, warm lifestyle photography, and clear positioning, Savvi was crafted to feel more like a modern lifestyle brand than a real estate agency. The copy dropped the clichés, the visuals favoured real moments over polish, and the strategy positioned Savvi as a guide, not a salesperson. The result was a confident market entry and a brand that felt immediately human in an industry that rarely does.

I've been obsessed with how things look and feel for as long as I can remember. As a teenager, that obsession lived on walls. Graffiti was my first real education in colour, form, and making people stop and pay attention. Design school gave it structure, but that raw instinct to create something bold and unapologetic has never left. Over the past 15 years, I've built a career across strategy, branding, design and marketing. But honestly, I've never been great at just working for other people. I've founded five businesses, which is either impressive or a sign I don't learn from my mistakes. Probably both. That entrepreneurial streak shaped everything about how I approach creative work though. I know what it feels like to put your own name on something, to bet on an idea, to need every dollar to pull its weight. It means I don't just think like a designer. I think like a founder who's had skin in the game. My time at experiential branding studio Wildhen was where I found my sweet spot: bringing brands to life in physical space. Hospitality and retail fitouts for the likes of Fonda, Upstate Yoga, Core Plus and Lucas Group taught me that a brand isn't just a logo on a wall. It's the feeling someone gets the moment they walk through the door. Get that right and people don't just visit. They come back. I work with businesses that have a genuine vision for greatness and the guts to chase it. My philosophy is pretty straightforward: playing it safe is actually the riskiest thing you can do. Blend in and you disappear. I combine strategy, creativity and a healthy dose of left-of-centre thinking to build brands that people genuinely love. The kind that make someone stop scrolling, walk through the door, or tell their mates about. I'm passionate, driven, creative and commercial. And I reckon every business has greatness in it. Sometimes it just takes the right person to pull it out.
